SEEDCO SC 303 – ULTRA-EARLY MATURING WHITE MAIZE HYBRID

SC 303 is an ultra-early maturing white maize hybrid developed by Seed Co, designed for farmers facing short growing seasons, low or unreliable rainfall, and late planting conditions. It reaches physiological maturity in less than 100 days under suitable conditions and has a yield potential of up to 10 tonnes per hectare.

The variety offers excellent heat and drought-stress tolerance, combined with strong drought-escape characteristics. It has good tolerance to Maize Streak Virus, Grey Leaf Spot and Phaeosphaeria Leaf Spot, as well as good cob-rot tolerance and standability.

SC 303 is particularly suitable for marginal rainfall areas, short rainy seasons and late planting. Its ultra-early maturity also makes it suitable for green-mealie production and, where conditions permit, multiple cropping within a season.
